The historic Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone was the venue for the first 2010 race for father & son duo Ron and Malcolm Gammons in their 1957 Lotus 11 Historic Sportscar.
The Brown & Gammons coalition took part in the inaugural Sir Stirling Moss Trophy Race, a series devised for genuine, pre-1961 sportscars and sports-racers, at Silverstone over the weekend of 15-16 May.
After qualifying very creditable 14th place during Saturday’s qualifying putting them in the middle of field made up of Maseratis, Lister Jaguars and other Lotus’. The race was half on the Sunday and Ron & Malcolm spent the 50 minute two driver race battling in a very competitive field. Their efforts were rewarded with a two second improvement in their lap time and two place rise up the field to finish 12th overall and 3rd in class.
This was a very good start to the season of 6 races that will take the pair to such historic circuits as Dijon, Spa, Oulton Park and Portimao in Portugal. Commenting on the weekend Ron Gammons said: “This was an extremely positive result and both Malcolm and I are optimistic that with just a few minor adjustments we can make the car go quicker.”

July 09 - News Update..
We are beta testing a new improved carriage matrix to help our Overseas Customers with ordering online. It means we will be able to give better carriage pricing on small orders to the Europe and the Rest of the World. Carriage is calculated on the combined weight of the items ordered and the destination. Larger and special order items will still be captured as a quote request in the first instance, to enable our highly experienced Export team to calculate the best/most cost effective shipping for the larger orders. We hope the new carriage matrix will be ready to launch by the end of July.

We are proud to announce the NEW B&G parts website. Launched in May 2009 we are proud of the work and effort put into developing this new integrated online ordering website.
Many of our 27,000 part lines are now categorised and either image mapped on the highly detailed parts explosion diagrams or we have taken, and continue to take pictures of our vast product line. We will continue to work on this website to enhance your browsing experience.
The site is now fully integrated with SagePay (the new name for Protx) for a more secure and integrated shopping experience.
Our regular online customers will unfortunately need to set up their details again. However once your details are online your account area will hold a lot more information regarding your pending orders and invoicing. There is also a new area for Wishlist items, were you can build up listings of all the parts you may require and pick from the Wishlist as and when you are ready to place an order.
We are now linked to our carrier software so online orders sent out via courier will receive an automatic email advising of their tracking number so you can be aware when the goods are on the way to you.
We hope that this new site works well for both our customers and our staff and welcome any comments you may have regarding our new website. Please feel free to email louise@ukmgparts.com
